Tag, You’re It!

Can you do me a favor?

Amazon uses tags to help people find books. My book needs tags. All you need to do is log into Amazon, use the link in this post and scroll down to the bottom section that reads “Tags customers associate with this product.”

Then, just click on the boxes. It will help me tremendously. Thanks!

Leather to the Corinthians on Amazon

And…if any of you out there in the blogosphere need tags as well…I am happy to return the favor.

Book Signing Party Highlights

Last Saturday, I joined forces with my Indie Author’s group to put on a Book Launch/Signing party. We all had books out for sale. It was a celebration of DIY sweetness.

Many of my colleagues and friends came out to support my book launch. It was the first of what I hope will be many book signings (fingers crossed). Hosted at The Sleeping Moon Cafe, those who made it out enjoyed cake, some laughs, and a few spoken word pieces. Here’s some footage and pics from a very unique day.

Leather to the Corinthians NOW AVAILABLE!!!

The Road

Finally I can say it: Leather to the Corinthians is NOW AVAILABLE! For all of my friends and followers who have been walking with me on my journey from inspiration to editing to final product – THANK YOU. Thank you for reading my blog and supporting my work.

It’s been roughly a year since I typed the last words of the manuscript. What a year it has been.

Ready to buy the book? I certainly hope that you are. Click HERE and pick your poison. Thanks in advance! And don’t forget, it makes the perfect gift for the cool kid in your life.

Care to help even more? Check out Support the Cause! and find out what you can do to support the future of Leather to the Corinthians.

I’d love to start this thing off with a bang. Please reblog or share this post or the Amazon links on your social networks. This will not only elevate you to a God-like status in my world, but I will owe you one, and I will be happy to support any of your efforts as well (as long as it doesn’t hurt anybody – that’s just not cool)

I’ll be hanging out on this Blog and my Facebook Author page ALL DAY, so stop by and give me a shout!

Thanks again, I wouldn’t have been able to pull this off without you in my corner.

Other thoughts:
If you are in the Orlando area this weekend, come by my book signing!

I am also currently arranging a signing for the South Florida area, hopefully in February.

If you would like me to come to your area, help me set up a book signing. Hit me up via my contact form.

Final thoughts:
And now, an atomic bomb explosion.

One Day Left! How You Can Support the Cause.

oneTomorrow is the big day! The official release of Leather to the Corinthians!!!

I know I have been a bit spammy in the final days as I have counted down time to release, and after 12:01 AM EST, I will be switching gears and my topics a bit. I thank you for entertaining my excitement up to now.

If you are planning to buy the book, tomorrow is the perfect day to do it. And if all you do tomorrow is buy the book, you have MY ETERNAL APPRECIATION. Seriously.

However, if you would like to do a bit more and add to the fun, there are many simple things you can do to SUPPORT THE CAUSE.

Ready to help really kick this thing off? Here’s what to do.

Make sure you are logged into your Amazon account.

1. Before buying Leather, take a look around. Search for books by (and then click on them):
• Phillip K. Dick
• Kurt Vonnegut
Joseph Heller
Alan Moore
Lewis Carroll
Tom Robbins
• The Church of the Subgenius
• Any other authors you love

2. Search for individual titles such as
• The Illuminatus Trilogy
Infinite Jest
• Amnesia Moon
• Watchmen
• Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy

3. Click on these bad boys, it will help populate the “users also viewed” section of my book’s Amazon page.

4. Now, go for it and buy my book. Search “Leather to the Corinthians.” You seriously rock. Thank you!

5. While you are on the book page, consider “liking it” or perhaps sharing it out via FB or Twitter. They have handy buttons over on the right side for this.

6. Consider “liking” my author page, and sharing this out as well.

7. Add Leather to your wish list, even if you already bought it 😛

8. Amazon also has this neat feature called Listmania. Essentially you make a list of cool things you like. Consider creating a list and adding Leather to it. Here’s some instructions on this if you are interested: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=help_search_1-1?ie=UTF8&nodeId=14279651&qid=1355170177&sr=1-1

9. If you see any reviews on my book’s page…under the review, where it asks if you found the review useful, click “Yes.”

10. And hey, if you buy my book and happen to enjoy it, consider reviewing it on Amazon, Goodreads, Shelfari, or anywhere else you like. It will take a few weeks of being on Amazon before the book shows up on these other sites, so you may not see it right away. Regardless, it helps so much. In fact, a positive review is about the biggest thing you can do to support the book.

11. “Like” my Facebook Page if you haven’t had the chance.

12. Follow me on Twitter. I am not a power user, but I am there!

Wow, so many ways you can help me out! If there is anything I can do for you, just ask!!!!

Leather to the Corinthians will be available tomorrow on Amazon! I hope to see you there, it’s going to be a wild day!

Only Two Days Until The World Changes Forever.

twoI thought I would start the week out in dramatic fashion. Only two more days until the Official Release of Leather to the Corinthians. Yesterday I spent time (LIE — all day) at two holiday parties, both of which were attended by many writers and creative types.

One author friend asked me, “Are you worried no one will buy your book? Are you worried that it is terrible?”

I nodded emphatically.

“Well then, you are on track. This is what every author feels before their book is launched.”

Needless to say, I was very relieved to hear that I am completely normal. At least in this respect.

As 12/12./12 will be here in a blink, I just wanted to that you for supporting this blog and my writing. I will be throwing many more thanks your way, but today I am feeling especially blessed and somewhat accomplished.

It’s going to be a very big week!

Leather to the Corinthians Book Launch and Signing Party!

Hey folks!

coffeeIt’s almost unbelievable, but we are down to 7 days before the launch of Leather to the Corinthians (12/12/12). I have the final print proof sitting right in front of me, and to see something that has been bouncing around in my brain for several years become material is beyond words.

I truly hope that every one of my aspiring writer friends has this opportunity. I know the world won’t end this month, but if it did I would feel complete.

I have been writing, planning, talking, editing, promoting, and packaging this project for the last year, from the moment I hit the last word of the manuscript. It’s been a long process, some of which I have chronicled on this blog. As time marches closer, I cannot help but wonder if I did enough. Am I prepared? Is everything set?

The beauty of all this hand-wringing is that it doesn’t matter. Once the book is live on Amazon.com, it will live forever. At least as long as I want it to. There is a freedom that exists in modern publishing authors of the past did not have access to. We are truly blessed with the opportunity to share our stories, our worlds, and our voices. I am grateful for it.

What I am most looking forward to by releasing my book is meeting new people, finding new avenues for my book, connecting with readers, and getting the fuel to write more books. (Book 2 is in the planning stage, and I will begin writing in late Jan).

There’s a lot out there on how to promote a book. I am using some of the advice, and passing on other bits. I will be posting a good amount over the next week in anticipation, so forgive my excitement if it seems a bit spammy. I promise I won’t be choking your news feed with constant pitches to buy my book.

One bit of preparation that I am stoked for is my first Book Signing Party. If you are in the Orlando area on Dec. 15, or can get here (if you can’t, please share this event out):

Leather to the Corinthians AVAILABLE 12/12/12!

Join the fun as we anticipate the launch on my Official Facebook Page!

One Step Closer!

My print proofs arrived today! There will be some adjustments to make to the front and back cover, but otherwise its pretty much a done deal.

It’s been a long road with this one, but having gone through the process I know what NOT-TO-DO. That’s worth the price of admission alone.

Still on track for a 12/12/12 release. I do hope you’ll join me.
