Last weekend I rocked the house at the Speculative Fiction: Southeast writing conference. Seriously.
I sold a bunch of books, sat on a world building panel with Orson Scott Card and I was interviewed on a new literary show — Hangin’ With Authors.
Oh, and I also debuted my new fez. This damn hat has changed my life permanently and for the better.
Host G.W. Pomichter struck me as an incredibly nice guy who has sincere goals for his latest YouTube enterprise. If you have some time, check it out. I had a blast doing it! If you enjoy, perhaps check out some of his other interviews.
Sorry for the late notice!
I’m speaking on a panel at Full Sail University as a part of its Hall of Fame week. The panel is all about self-publishing: the ins and outs, the whys and wherefores, the do and the do nots.
The panel will be streaming live on YouTube and is instantly archived so if you can’t tune in tonight, I hope you will catch up with me soon after.
Beside kicking the science, I’ll be debuting a new sport coat, so please join tonight at 7pm EST right here:
My completely unplanned January press tour continues with an interview over at The Hook. It was a good time, and The Hook’s readers are a complete blast.
I blasted Scooby Doo, got the tears going with a bit about my Dad, and attempted to defend my strange and baffling appreciation for Steely Dan.
Check it out here. The Hook is a blog worth following, and thanks again to the fine minds behind it for having me.
Stanton Sunshine is a brand spanking new web magazine with the purpose to “give people of all ages a safe place to visit — a place where you can feel nurtured, encouraged, entertained, loved and blessed. To offset the negativity that crops up in everyday life, I like to find the positive in every situation.”
Editor Debb Stanton has been a loyal follower of my blog for some time and I was honored to be interviewed for the first issue. Thanks Debb!

I’ll be a guest on Writer Groupie Radio. Tune in @ 11:00pm EST.
Host Kim Smith and I will talk about writing, Leather to the Corinthians, and anything else that comes to mind.
Here’s the link: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/writergroupie
And…you can call into the show…(917) 889-9107.
Put me on the spot! Ask me an embarrassing question. You know me, I’m up for it.
Well, I’ve hit the indie author wall.
Here’s the thing…book visibility on Amazon is partially driven by reviews. Supposedly something magical happens once you get at least 20. I think gnomes visit your home at night and tickle your toes. I dunno.
Anyway, if you A) read my book and B) liked it, would you take a few moments and throw a review up there for me? Three sentences, not a book report. Just a little something something?
I have been avoiding asking for reviews since I published, but I have come to learn that it is a must. It just seems so self-serving, but hell.
Use the Contact page to message me with a link to your review and I’ll send you some cool cover art stickers and postcards.
